Moral allegory and spiritual autobiography, The Little Prince is the most translated book in the French language. With a timeless charm it tells the story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters. His personal odyssey culminates in a voyage to Earth and further adventures.
” […] All grown-ups were once children–although few of them remember it.”
My mind needs a break from reality for a little bit and after watching the Netflix Original of this movie a couple months back, I decided to pick this one as my distraction.
What caught my interest in the movie was the subtle sadness in the lesson it was trying to teach. The sadness and a little bit of hope. I’m curious to see the raw material of that screenplay.
And adding another classic to my list of books read.
