Reading: The Improbable Theory of Ana and Zak

“Available Now” books and a pleasant surprise

I don’t know about you, but there are times when I struggle, really hard, to find something to read. It’s not that there aren’t great stories floating around, but there is always a sense of “but what if I don’t like it?” It’s a gamble. Reading a new genre, or a new author, or a new set within the same genre by the same author. You don’t want disappointment, you know?

So when I was aimlessly browsing the “available now” ebooks provided by our local library, I was hesitant about this one. It’s by an author I haven’t heard of and the story, while seeming like the normal YA genre I don’t mind reading, I haven’t read a story with the backdrop of a comic-con like atmosphere.

And maybe it’s because of my own disappointment in missing Supernatural‘s visit last week and my hope to make it to some kind of comic-con one day (because geeks unite! Right?), and the fact that I could check it out immediately, I went for it.

And you know what? I’m pleasantly surprised by it. So, diving into the world of Zak and Ana, and if I’m honest, Clayton (because I admire his spunk) world to see how it all plays out.
