December.
Yep.
It’s December.
I always have mixed feelings about this month. I love that it’s cold and that we’re slowly creeping into winter. But this means that autumn is almost done and autumn is my absolute favorite season, you know, if you had to pick just one season.
So, December.
A new month. A fresh slate of thirty something days. And a chance to to get everything you wanted to get done in 2015, done. I mean, you’ve got 31 days, right?
But then again, who realized December would come so darned fast! I mean, *snap*, there went Halloween and we’re already prepping for the New Year.
And still, there’s fun times because it’s the holiday season, I mean, whatever it is you celebrate in December. There’s family time. There’s a whole bunch of feel good movies on Hallmark and ABC Family and Hallmark.
Sighs.
As I said. Mixed feelings.
So, what’s in store for me and this blog in the next 31 days. Well, I’m not sure, if I’m being honest. I know there are a few reviews on my queue for books, television, and movies. However, I’m also thinking if it’s time to change direction. If there’s one thing I love about participating in NaBloPoMo is that it gives you some insight to your strengths and weaknesses as a writer. It also gives some insight to what you’re focusing on. You tend to find what you love writing about the most, who’s looking at what post, and reevaluate where you stand in writing.
I’m still going through that process right now, but I have a lot to think about going into this new month. And I don’t want to screw it up. Though, if you ask me, you can’t really screw this up. You can only get better or change direction. Whatever the case may be, it’s time to figure out where I’m going.
To quote one of my favorite scenes from Alice In Wonderland:
It’s that time. To figure out where I’m going so I know which path to go.
So, December.
A new month.
And the start of a new journey.
