I write this post for the sake of writing a post.
Really? That’s how much we mean to you?
I’m sorry! Research for future movie reviews took priority. I mean, you do want good movie reviews right?
I know, it’s a lame excuse, but I really needed to catch a movie in the theaters. I was having movie-going withdraws! And even though it has only been about two weeks–actually, almost a month–since I’ve been to the theater to watch a movie, I would go every weekend if our local theater always had good movies. Oh, and if I got paid to watch them because movie entry is getting expensive.
I’m also writing while eating dinner because I got off work at 5p, went straight to a meeting, and then went straight to the movies. I’m not used to having dinner so late, but I needed something to settle my stomach and calm the minor headache I feel starting to throb.
And heading to the movies was a spur of the moment decision.
So … there. Because of movie night I’m writing a post for the sake of writing a post. Please don’t hate me. I made a commitment to post/write everyday and I’ve done a pretty good job of it. I’d hate to screw up that record because I was too tired or too hungry or too [insert excuse]. And, for arguments sake, writers observe and react to life. It’s the reason we write. Stuff happens and we just have to record and reflect on what we observed.
With that in mind, go ahead and read this post again. It’s me observing the night I had and then writing about it. I promise I’ll write a movie review on the movie I ditched writing for.
And with my eyes half closing, my bowl now empty, and the start of an on coming headache, I smile because the movie was good, the night was fun, and now my writings done (sorry, I just had to do a rhyming thing right there 😉).
