Edited 10/12/17: This was a reblog from Kenneth’s blog, but the link seems to have gone missing. I apologize and will be archiving this post. 411 Junkie
It’s what I’ve always thought myself. Technology is great. I mean, we’re able to connect with family halfway across the world at little or no cost. Instantly, mind you. We can share our daily lives through pictures and posts with family and friends even though we don’t see each other every day.
But, there’s always a catch. Always a payoff. And Kenneth is right, people are bored. We’ve come so efficient, too efficient. We forgot how to hold a conversation, how to be productive, how to have hobbies, or how to have healthy entertainment. Addictive behaviors have skyrocketed; drugs, work, pornography, video gaming.
We’re bored. It’s sad to observe, but hopefully, with enough re-education, we can get back on track.
