BookGeek 411: Oh. My. Gods.

Oh. My. Gods. (Oh. My. Gods, #1)Oh. My. Gods. by Tera Lynn Childs
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a delightful story!

I love it when an author does this. When they blend modern with myth. Child’s does a wonderful job in creating Phoebe’s world and the private island of Serfopoula. And I refuse to compare her story agains some of the others in her genre. It’s a wonderful story in on its own.

I love Phoebe. I will admit. I did get mad at her attraction to Griffin, but, I liked who she is and loved reading how she stepped into her own. The other characters were well-developed as well.

And there may be a need for a spoiler alert here, but can I just say that I love how Child’s incorporated the Gods and their descendants? And her use of some of the ‘lesser’ known gods are brilliant.

When I picked up this book, I had no idea it was a series. I’m a big fan for stopping here, but I am excited to reading more. So, I look forward to continuing this series.

A GoodRead and a must-add for my bookshelf.
